Disability & Accessibility Services

Build Consciousness, Build the Future

At Melbourne River Cruises, we are committed to providing an inclusive experience for all of our customers, regardless of their abilities. We welcome customers with a range of disabilities, including but not limited to mobility, hearing, and vision impairments.

We understand that wheelchair accessibility is a significant concern for many of our customers. While our vessels are not fully wheelchair accessible due to infrastructure constraints, we do our best to accommodate customers who use wheelchairs. We can accommodate wheelchairs that can be folded, and our crew members are trained to assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the vessel. If a person can walk with assistance, we are happy to provide support to help them board the vessel safely.

In addition to wheelchair accessibility, we also accommodate for customers with other disabilities. However, our crew members are not completely trained to communicate effectively with customers who are deaf or hard of hearing or customers with blindness or low vision but are happy to assist carers or companions who travel free of charge with us. We also looking to have designated seating areas available for customers with disabilities in future.

During busy school holiday periods, we create designated pram stations to accommodate families with young children. At other times, prams are welcome on board, and our crew members are happy to assist with storage if needed.

We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all of our customers. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility on Melbourne River Cruises, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to assist in any way we can.
