  • Our Ferry Sightseeing Tours operates on Friday, Saturdays, Sundays and ALL public holidays, and operates everyday during summer and school holidays
  • Departs from our Ticket Kiosk located at Southbank Promenade at Berth 2 and our Williamstown Gem Pier Departure Location.
  • All online Ticket purchases require the Passenger(s) to produce evidence of the Ticket(s) upon arrival.
  • Check-in at the Ticket Kiosk 15 Minutes prior to the Departure Time.
  • Sightseeing Departure Times change daily and are subject to tidal and weather conditions and major event days.

At Melbourne River Cruises, we understand that plans may change. Therefore, we have crafted a cancellation policy to provide flexibility and convenience for our valued customers. Please review the following points:

Online Booking Management:

  • Customers have the convenience to go online and manage their bookings up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. Cancellation or Rebooking within 24 Hours:
  • Cancel or rebook your sightseeing cruise up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time without incurring any additional charges.
  • No Refunds for No Shows or Changes After 24 Hours:
  • Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for no-shows or changes made after the 24-hour window prior to the scheduled departure time.
  • Refund or Credit for Operator Cancellation:
  • In the event of operator cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or operational issues, customers will be entitled to a full refund or credit.

Important Notes:

  • Cancellations and rebooking requests can be easily managed through our online platform for your convenience. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or changes made after the specified 24-hour period.

We prioritize safety and operational efficiency; hence, cancellations by the operator due to weather or operational issues will result in a full refund or credit for customers.

Wilson Parking offers secure car parking and are located in Southgate Ave, just a short walk from our departure point.

Unfortunately, our vessels (including the on-board restrooms) are not wheelchair accessible and we do not have the facilities to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

Passengers must be able to manage stairs to board and disembark the vessel on there own or be assisted by their carers only as our staff are not permitted to assist (by carrying any passengers for boarding) in any way.

We do not offer bookings for groups less then 15 guests for our sightseeing cruises however you are able to purchase a prepaid voucher from our website.

Please note that this does not secure a time or a date and we do recommend you arrive 30 minutes prior to the cruise time you are after to secure your spot.

Yes, as our schedule is subject to weather and tidal conditions you will need to call us from 9.45am on the morning of your preferred cruise date. Please call 03 8610 2600

Yes. Spending the day is Williamstown is a great way to see a different part of Melbourne. Return times are 1 hour after the ferry leaves the City but must be confirmed on the day.

You will find us located across from the Langham Hotel on the rivers edge.

All beverages as listed are included and served throughout the cruise.

We ask that guests please arrive no later than 7.15pm for boarding.
Please note that our cruise will leave at 7.30pm sharp and will not wait for late guests.

The Spirit of Melbourne Cruising Restaurant cruises up river, passing the Botanical Gardens and sporting stadiums.
Please note that our cruise path is subject to weather and tidal conditions.

We operate our dinner cruise Thursdays to Sundays at 7.30pm – 10.30pm
Alternative days can be arranged for groups of 15+

The Spirit of Melbourne can accommodate up to 90 passengers and the floor plan is designed for the bookings that evening. Each booking will have their own table, large groups of 15 or more may be split across two tables.

Yes we do welcome children on board. In the interest of other guests children must remain seated at all times.

Unlike the ocean the Yarra River is very calm and flat. It is very unlikely that travelling on our vessels will cause any motion sickness.

Cakes can be purchased at a cost. At least 7 days notice is required to order these items. Call us for sizes and pricing.
